A Standout Among Urgent Care Clinics in Manhattan

Urgent Care Clinics Manhattan NYUrgent care clinics are an important part of the health care system. Whenever you need immediate medical attention for a non-life-threatening illness or injury, MedRite Urgent Care is an excellent option. We have three conveniently located walk-in urgent care clinics in Manhattan.

The MedRite team is available when many other providers are not. Our urgent care clinics are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and we do not require appointments. This means if you live or work in New York, you don’t have to rely on a busy and expensive hospital ER if your primary care physician is fully booked or has closed his or her office for the day or week. Or, if you are visiting NYC from out of town, you don’t have to deal with the stress of figuring out where to turn for non-emergency medical assistance in an unfamiliar area. Founded in 2010 as one of only two urgent care practices in Manhattan, MedRite has changed health care for the better.

When Should You Go to an Urgent Care Clinic?

As a general rule of thumb, you should seek medical attention at an urgent care center if you need medical attention right away, but you do not have a health-related emergency, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or uncontrollable bleeding (in these situations, you should call 911 or go directly to the nearest ER).

The experienced providers at MedRite are available every day to evaluate and treat:

  • The common cold and flu
  • Fever
  • Coughs
  • COVID-19
  • Sore throats
  • Mild to moderate asthma
  • Skin rashes and other allergic reactions
  • Cuts, wounds, and lacerations that need stitches
  • Sprains and strains
  • Minor bone fractures
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Diarrhea and dehydration
  • Eye irritations, redness, and infections
  • Earaches and ear infections
  • Mild to moderate back pain
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

MedRite is committed to providing a streamlined patient experience. Each of our urgent care clinics in Manhattan is equipped with digital X-ray technology and an on-site lab. In many cases, we can provide diagnostic services on the spot, eliminating the need for our patients to travel to offsite testing facilities—and the hassles and delays that typically go along with it.

Safe Testing for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At MedRite, we understand that many people are concerned about the coronavirus pandemic. If you have flu-like symptoms, such as fever, body aches, and coughing—which are also common signs of COVID-19—we can prescreen you remotely during a telemedicine consultation, which we believe is an effective alternative to an in-person office visit for that purpose. By taking advantage of a virtual visit, you can receive prompt medical attention and personalized advice from a health care provider while minimizing the spread of germs and remaining in the safety and comfort of your own home.

If your telemedicine provider determines that COVID-19 testing is appropriate for you, he or she will explain how you can register for a drive-up nasal swab test at our conveniently located testing center in New York, where you will remain safely in your vehicle throughout the entire process. An experienced practitioner will collect a small amount of nasal secretions from your nose and throat, then send your samples to a certified lab for processing and contact you when we receive the result.
