Our Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Michael Platzman, DO
Chief Medical Officer · MedRite Urgent Care
NPI: 1093742942 · Licensed in New York
Dr. Michael Platzman is the Chief Medical Officer of MedRite Urgent Care and the physician patients come back to year after year — because seeing him doesn't feel like urgent care. It feels like having a doctor who actually knows you.
Board-certified in Family Medicine and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England, Dr. Platzman brings over 28 years of clinical experience and more than 11 years of leadership at MedRite to every patient encounter. He practices with the depth and continuity of a primary care physician — taking the time to understand the full picture, explain conditions clearly, and ensure patients leave not just treated, but truly informed. Patients frequently describe him as more thorough and attentive than their own PCP, and that reputation is one he has earned visit after visit.
His expertise spans the breadth of family medicine alongside specialized training in occupational medicine and immigration health services — making him an invaluable resource for employers, workers navigating workplace injuries, and individuals completing the USCIS immigration medical exam process.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Platzman is a proud father of three, including a set of twins. The experience of raising a busy family informs the grounded, unhurried care he brings to every patient — because he understands that coming to the doctor is rarely convenient, and being seen well makes all the difference.
Paige Ferrise, PA-C, MPAS
Chief PA · Regional Lead, Advanced Practice Providers
NPI: 1053857805 · Ferrise Licensed in New York
Paige Ferrise is MedRite's Chief PA and the operational heart of our Advanced Practice Provider team. With a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Long Island University, Paige built her clinical foundation at two of the country's most demanding environments — the trauma surgery units at NewYork-Presbyterian and NYU Langone Health — before bringing that high-acuity expertise to urgent care.
That background isn't just a credential — it shapes how Paige trains, leads, and practices. She has an eye for what others miss, a calm decisiveness under pressure, and a standard of care she holds across every MedRite provider she mentors. Under her leadership, MedRite's APP team has grown into one of the most clinically capable in the region.
When she's not at the center, Paige is a devoted mom of two and an avid Peloton rider — proof that the discipline she brings to patient care carries into every corner of her life.
Dr. Paarth Raj, DO
Regional Director, New Jersey · Emergency Medicine & Longevity
NPI: 1003224197 · Licensed in New York and New Jersey
Dr. Paarth Raj leads MedRite's New Jersey operations as Regional Director, bringing a rare combination of emergency medicine expertise, academic pedigree, and a genuine passion for whole-person health to every center he oversees.
A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Raj spent over a decade as an attending physician and faculty member at Hackensack University Medical Center — one of New Jersey's most respected academic medical institutions — where he trained the next generation of emergency physicians while managing some of the region's most complex acute care cases. That decade of academic medicine instilled in him a rigorous, evidence-based approach that he now brings directly to his patients at MedRite.
Beyond emergency medicine, Dr. Raj has developed a deep interest in longevity medicine, with a particular focus on the pillars that drive long-term health: nutrition, fitness, and preventive care. He works with patients to understand how what they eat and how they move directly shapes their health trajectory — translating the latest evidence in metabolic health and exercise physiology into practical guidance patients can actually use. He believes an urgent care visit can be more than a quick fix; it can be a gateway to building healthier habits for life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Raj is a father of two and remains deeply committed to mentoring and educating the next generation of clinicians — a calling that has defined much of his career.
